Alternators for Allis-Chalmers Tractors & Agricultural Machines

Allis-Chalmers was a powerhouse during America’s Second Industrial Revolution during the early 20th century.  The company began in 1901 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as an amalgamation of the Edward P. Allis company (steam engines and mill equipment), Fraser & Chalmers (mining & ore), and Dickson Manufacturing’s industrial business line of engines and compressors.  In 1912, the Allis-Chalmers Company became the Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Company and throughout the next 70 years, their industrial machines were found in mills, mines, and factories all across the globe.  In 1990, Allis-Chalmers was dissolved and was succeeded by two new ventures, Allis-Chalmers Energy and AGCO.  The latter, a result of separating from Germany’s KHD.
