Alternators for Bobcat Agricultural & Construction Equipment

Bobcat started in 1947 in Gwinner, North Dakota as the Melroe Manufacturing Company. Founder Edward Gideon “E.G.” Melroe invented such notable machines as the Melroe pickup combine attachment and the Harroweeder spring-tooth harrow.  Melroe passed away in 1955 and left the company to his four sons Lester, Clifford, Roger and Irving, and son-in-law Eugene Dahl.  Three years later, the brothers met inventors Cyril and Louis Keller who were making names for themselves as repair technicians for local farmers.  The Kellers designed a brand new, revolutionary machine that caught the attention of the Melroe brothers, who invited the Kellers to demonstrate their product at the Minnesota State Fair.  This machine became the basis for the Melroe M60 loader.  They’ve also unveiled brand new machine, which later become known as the M400 Skid Steer Loader.  Melroe used the name “Bobcat” to market this machine.  Cyril and Louis were then brought into the Melroe Manufacturing Company as employees and the Bobcat brand was born.  Fast forward to the present, Bobcat is one of the leading names in farm and construction equipment.  Visit any construction site and you’re bound to see at least a few Bobcat excavators and skid steers.  Bobcat manufacturers loaders, skid steers, compact excavators, utility products, and various other lines of industrial machinery.
