Regulator/Rectifiers for Steyr Tractors & Farm Equipment

Austria’s Steyr Tractor (Steyr Landmaschinentechnik AG) was a branch of the conglomerate Steyr-Daimler-Puch Aktiengesellschaft from 1934 to 1990. Founded in 1864 as Josef und Franz Werndl and Company, the company got its start producing rifles and then later, bicycles. During the first World War, the company entered the automobile market with Steyr-Werke AG. During World War II, Steyr produced small arms, artillery, and aircraft engines for the Wehrmacht. After World War II, Steyr resumed making automobiles but had also added heavy duty trucks, tractors, and farm equipment to their portfolio. Steyr Tractor was in business until 1990 and in 1996, the brand was purchased by Case Corporation. Three years later, Case IH merged with New Holland to form CNH Global. Steyr currently lives on in name only as a marque for tractors and farm equipment manufactured by CNH Global.
