Starter Solenoids for Case Agricultural & Construction Equipment

As a child, founder Jerome Case read about a machine that could cut wheat without people needing to use their hands. From there on, Case developed a newfound interest in agriculture. In 1842 at the age of 23, Case took small, hand-powered threshing machines with him to Wisconsin where he began to improve upon their designs. The next year, he moved to Racine and opened the Racine Threshing Machine Works company, the foundation for what would later become the J.I. Case Threshing Machine Company, better known as Case. From the late 19th century going well into the 20th century, Case was one of America’s most prominent manufacturers of steam industrial engines, threshing machines, and other agricultural and harvesting equipment. Case’s company expanded from a local, rural shop into a global corporation with divisions all across the world. The Case Corporation continued to grow and expand, buying out competitors and merging with other manufacturers until itself was merged with New Holland NV to become CNH Global in 1999.
