Starters for Honda Vehicles

Honda is a Japanese conglomerate whose product profile ranges from lawn and garden equipment, recreational powersports vehicles, generators, aircraft, mountain bikes, and robotics. Honda entered the automotive industry in the 1960s, originally building commercial light vehicles such as the T360 and the L700 delivery van. Their first 4-door car was the 1969 Honda 1300, a predecessor of today’s modern Accord sedan. Honda would soon start selling their cars across the world and they would eventually make their way onto American shores, just as the muscle car era was coming to a close. The little Japanese economy cars soon found an audience with buyers who had outgrown the Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, Dodge Chargers, and Plymouth Barracudas of the day and were now interested in fuel-efficient, practical, and inexpensive personal and family cars. The Honda Accord and Civic, two of the company’s longest-standing nameplates, quickly became household favorites and were popping up on roads all across America. But contrary to the cars’ utilitarian and pedestrian image, Honda was also a powerful and dominating name in motorsports. Since 1964, Honda was active on the Formula 1 circuit, as well as World Rally and touring car leagues in their native Japan and across the globe. Honda entered CART in 1994, eventually providing the machines that won 6 consecutive driver’s championships. In 2003, Honda joined the Indy Racing League and in 2006, became the sole engine supplier until the return of Chevrolet in 2011. Off the track, Honda has won legions of fans and enthusiasts internationally with their easy-to-work-on, high-revving inline 4-cylinder engines and their reputation for die-hard reliability. The Honda automotive division maintains and operates manufacturing facilities across the globe in Japan, North America, Europe, and in other territories. Their lineup consists of the flagship Accord, Civic compact, Fit subcompact, CRV crossover, Odyssey minivan, Pilot SUV, and Ridgeline unibody pickup truck.
