Agricultural Fuel Valves

A fuel valve (or fuel petcock) is a small shut-off valve that controls the flow of fuel. Back in the day, before electric starters were incorporated, farm equipment (namely, John Deere tractors) had stationery power units. They used compression relief petcocks, one for each cylinder, to depressurize the engine for when cranking by hand. Today, electric starters and advanced fuel delivery systems take care of that for us but fuel valves are still being used to regulate reserves. As with any mechanical device, coupled with the change in fuel grades over the years, these valves can deteriorate over time and eventually fail. Fortunately, Discount Starter & Alternator stocks an array of brand new, OEM quality aftermarket replacement parts to keep your equipment running smoothly.
