Regulator/Rectifiers for Chevrolet Vehicles

The Chevrolet name evokes classic images of pure Americana: baseball, apple pie, hot dogs, and Coca-Cola, but it is actually one of the most popular and successful car brands in many different international markets across the world.  A diverse and versatile lineup from practical compacts and comfortable family cars to rugged trucks and SUVs, even high-performance sports cars, Chevrolet builds vehicles to meet the needs and requests of various customer bases.  This was the corporate mantra of former General Motors CEO, Alfred P. Sloan, who designated the brand to be the volume seller of General Motors.  The Chevrolet Motor Car Company was founded in 1911 by Buick factory racecar driver Louis Chevrolet and exiled GM founder, William C. Durant.  By way of a reverse merger, Durant used the Chevrolet brand to re-enter the commanding position at General Motors, only to be ousted again in 1919.  Chevrolet grew to become America’s top-selling automobile brand in 1929 and throughout their history, the company stayed true to Alfred P. Sloan’s vision.  The iconic Corvette roadster, the famous Bel Air and Impala full-size cars, the youthful Camaro, and all-purpose C/K pickup truck made Chevrolet an automotive industry legend.  Perhaps, other than the Corvette, the most famous Chevrolet product is the small-block pushrod V8 engine.  In 1955, Chevrolet engineer Ed Cole developed the first small-block V8 for Chevrolet.  This architecture would be the basis for future GM engines from Cadillac, Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac, as well as the core foundation for the modern GM Powerplant V8 engine found in today’s Silverado pickup, Tahoe and Suburban SUVs, and Corvette and Camaro sports cars.  Chevrolet V8s have found their way into the engine bays of everything from boats, helicopters, dune buggies, even in cars from other manufacturers. Chevrolet, like its fearless co-founder, is forever linked to the world of motorsports.  They are the winningest manufacturer in NASCAR Cup Series history, they hold 6-consecutive wins at the Indianapolis 500 (1986-1993), 5-consecutive CART World Series wins, 8 consecutive Tudor United ALMS GT1 championships with Corvette Racing, 2 driver’s and manufacturer’s championship titles with the Chevrolet Cruze in the FIA World Touring Car Championship, and countless victories in other organizations and clubs across the world at both the amateur and professional skill level.
